A New Fight

What a week for TFT as most of our teams picked up wins in their respective leagues.
TFT Vice- Won their first Risen match of the season, beating Negative Gaming 2-1. They also got an FF win in Focus league and are all set for a hype match up against Recon5 Green to determine who will come out of the group in first place this Saturday!
TFT Online- Started a new league as well, but won it a lot more convincingly with a 2-0 victory! TFT is the defending champs of ECS, so let’s see if they can maintain their crown with all new faces!
TFT Premier- Fell again to Full Spectrum bot looked much improved and nearly took the series to a game 3.
TFT Supreme - Managed to go even in PRL with a 1-1 split, and will need to clean things up if they want a legitimate shot at playoffs.

But it wasn’t just online that TFT kicked ass.We partnered up with Jax Revival to help host a LAN fighting games tournament that includes games such as Guilty Gear, Grand Blue, BBTAG, Tekken 7, Soul Calibur, and DBZ Fighters. It was a great time and we made a lot of new friends and even got a big surprise out of it 👀. We are so excited to announce, but for now, we will keep our lips sealed and let you ponder on a whole new meaning of the words TFTFighting!

Team Fish Taco and UNC join forces!

After the successful GatorLAN event in Gainesville Florida, Team Fish Taco looked for other places to take our Data solutions. This lead us to North Carolina, and the University of North Carolina Chapel hill. Team Fish Taco will be running the data for the UNC Esports 5v5 Tournament on February 29th.

If you’re in North Carolina, be sure to sign up and come out! Team Fish Taco will be out there giving out swag and medals to the first place prize!

Seven Teams. One Goal

With the New Year now 19 days in, a lot has already happened on the competitive side of TFT. A re-brand here, a roster change there, and a couple of new teams representing the brand, there is a lot in store for us in the coming months.

To start, what was once TFT Dawn, is now TFT Vice. in honor of Miami Vice and the influence, it has had in our culture even to this day. They are led by Puffles in Mid lane, and surrounded by Hybernation in top, Rourke in jg, TFT Punk as adc, and Sweaty Toast at support. They will be competing in Focus league for a shot at 1500.

Next is the return of veteran TFT players, Piero, Jesusinabottle, Bxnardb, Heimerdoodles, and Azuuki, who come together with new coach Wujin and a midlaner to reform TFT Supreme. Many will remember the duo Azuki and Heimer as the ones who helped lead TFT to their GXPC win and came just short of the UML trophy, but reunited once again, they will look to dominate the new Phoenix Rising Academy.

TFT Online, fresh off their championship dominating 3-1 win over Active Rush in the AR league, are looking to walk in the steps of the original TFT, by participating in ECS (formerly GXPC). A fun but very competitive group of friends, the team has become a force to be reckoned with in low diamond leagues. An old enemy turned friend Deathworm starts in toplane, followed by energetic and confident Angrodis in jungle. Newcomers Nap and Kizech make up the midlane and support role respectively, and the always deadly Draven Abuser, now simply known as Snowy, rounds up the team at ADC.

Back from a long hiatus, TFT Academy is reformed, looking to compete in Upsurge’s new Junior League. TFTA veteran toplaner The Pancake Man will look to lead 3 new players to victory as he is accompanied by OneTrickLMAO in jungle, Zuron in mid, Moon Dumpling in support, and back to reclaim her old role, Little Falcon is once again TFTA starting adc. This also means for the first time in TFT, an all-female botlane will lead the charge and we couldn’t be any more proud.

Like Supreme and Academy, another revival is afoot, as the GM/Challenger TFT Premier is currently undergoing tryouts to finalize a very exciting roster. With more than 10 staff members onboard, including veteran coaches such as Draher and Warbirds, managers like Ashy and Gumbyee, and more great members like Machuca, Habibi Papi, and Demon, the team is sure to excel. They will compete in UPL as the team focuses mainly on developing talent that we believe can be the next greats of the NA scene. Time will tell if the hard work pays off but it will be a lot of fun to see how things go.

TFT Lan is also coming back. Though the roster is still unknown and is pretty fluid compared to most of the online rosters, but there are a lot of local tournaments to compete and always hungry local players wanting to prove their worth.

Finally, in an exciting first for the TFT org, we will be getting representation in Pokemon VGC. The official announcement will be up soon but we can’t wait and know that this player will do great things.

As always, TFT looks to dominate across multiple leagues and games, and we are only getting started. This year will be our year, no doubt about it. #TFTFighting #TFT2020

GatorLAN and The future!

Last week, Team Fish Taco ran the data for the large LAN event that University of Florida hosts, called GatorLAN. (get it?) The team Boba Boys brought home the win, with a pretty big upset against UF Orange. To celebrate, the TFT fish had a little desert in their honor!

Be sure to check out the stats from GatorLAN HERE
