Seven Teams. One Goal

With the New Year now 19 days in, a lot has already happened on the competitive side of TFT. A re-brand here, a roster change there, and a couple of new teams representing the brand, there is a lot in store for us in the coming months.

To start, what was once TFT Dawn, is now TFT Vice. in honor of Miami Vice and the influence, it has had in our culture even to this day. They are led by Puffles in Mid lane, and surrounded by Hybernation in top, Rourke in jg, TFT Punk as adc, and Sweaty Toast at support. They will be competing in Focus league for a shot at 1500.

Next is the return of veteran TFT players, Piero, Jesusinabottle, Bxnardb, Heimerdoodles, and Azuuki, who come together with new coach Wujin and a midlaner to reform TFT Supreme. Many will remember the duo Azuki and Heimer as the ones who helped lead TFT to their GXPC win and came just short of the UML trophy, but reunited once again, they will look to dominate the new Phoenix Rising Academy.

TFT Online, fresh off their championship dominating 3-1 win over Active Rush in the AR league, are looking to walk in the steps of the original TFT, by participating in ECS (formerly GXPC). A fun but very competitive group of friends, the team has become a force to be reckoned with in low diamond leagues. An old enemy turned friend Deathworm starts in toplane, followed by energetic and confident Angrodis in jungle. Newcomers Nap and Kizech make up the midlane and support role respectively, and the always deadly Draven Abuser, now simply known as Snowy, rounds up the team at ADC.

Back from a long hiatus, TFT Academy is reformed, looking to compete in Upsurge’s new Junior League. TFTA veteran toplaner The Pancake Man will look to lead 3 new players to victory as he is accompanied by OneTrickLMAO in jungle, Zuron in mid, Moon Dumpling in support, and back to reclaim her old role, Little Falcon is once again TFTA starting adc. This also means for the first time in TFT, an all-female botlane will lead the charge and we couldn’t be any more proud.

Like Supreme and Academy, another revival is afoot, as the GM/Challenger TFT Premier is currently undergoing tryouts to finalize a very exciting roster. With more than 10 staff members onboard, including veteran coaches such as Draher and Warbirds, managers like Ashy and Gumbyee, and more great members like Machuca, Habibi Papi, and Demon, the team is sure to excel. They will compete in UPL as the team focuses mainly on developing talent that we believe can be the next greats of the NA scene. Time will tell if the hard work pays off but it will be a lot of fun to see how things go.

TFT Lan is also coming back. Though the roster is still unknown and is pretty fluid compared to most of the online rosters, but there are a lot of local tournaments to compete and always hungry local players wanting to prove their worth.

Finally, in an exciting first for the TFT org, we will be getting representation in Pokemon VGC. The official announcement will be up soon but we can’t wait and know that this player will do great things.

As always, TFT looks to dominate across multiple leagues and games, and we are only getting started. This year will be our year, no doubt about it. #TFTFighting #TFT2020
