OQ Going Great, Can't Wait for Groups

Five up three down, the Team Fish Taco boys get it done in the Proving Ground Summer OQ3

The Team started off strong 2-0 on day 1 defeating Team Ambition Black followed by a win against an old rival in SuperNova. With only one win needed out of 3, they went into day 2 in high spirits. A tough but close loss against AOE saw us facing yet another Ambition roster, this time the Blaze roster. Surprisingly, Allorim pulled out AD Neeko top, while TAB ran Kog Lee Sin botlane. The dark technologies made for a fun cast in what was otherwise a very slow, macro intensive game where first blood wasn’t drawn until 15 minutes in. TFT built leads through pushing lanes and constant jungle invasion from the young budding star Leemo. Once the mid-game came, however, TFT was able to use their resources to dominate team fights and got the W they needed to qualify for the next phase. With one more game remaining, the team subbed in Sohnar against Evil Genius Prodigy. Similar to the match against AOE, it was a very contested match, with TFT having several opportunities to take the lead including a huge baron steal by the sub! At the end of the day, EGP’s dragon stack proved deadly and the team fell to 3-2. An all-around great performance with only more to come. Groups were drawn and TFT landed in group B alongside Jake’s Kittens (Golden Guardian Amateur), AOE GTC, and Third Party. A fun couple of weeks are sure to ensue, so make sure you tune in to the Unified streams, who will be casting every single match for your pleasure! Thank you to everyone who tuned in to our own stream for the qualifier and we appreciate all the support! #TFTFighting
